Fleksy GIF Keyboard Unlock All: The Ultimate Guide to Typing Faster and Easier on Any Device

Fleksy owns ALL of its technology: source code, algorithms, autocorrection, next-word prediction, dictionaries, swipe, and more. Unlike other virtual keyboards that rely on 3rd parties or open-source, Fleksy has the power to modify and curate its technology to best fit your needs.

Palm needed a keyboard that would allow users to type accurately on their small 3-inch screen. So, we set out to create a custom layout that was extra tiny, with a look and feel that fit their brand.

But, in order to complete the vision of a new breed of keyboard, a refreshed brand was necessary. After speaking to a few agencies, Fleksy chose Point, from the UK, due to their unique point of view on branding and a solid track record with other successful startups and companies such as Seedcamp, Thriva and more.

We have been in the keyboard space for some time now. We watch how people interact with it, we hear their frustrations and we have our vision of productivity on a mobile. Gathering all that, we envisioned the KaaP, Keyboard as a Platform, which we predict is the way all people will use keyboards in the future.

Partnering with Meizu, one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in China, is a huge step forward for us in terms of expanding our international footprint. Meizu users will receive the fastest, most customizable keyboard in the world for free.

We'll be the first Android keyboard with GIF support, making finding and sending GIFs as easy as emoji. We'll also be the first keyboard to function as an Android launcher. See the bottom of this post for the full list of Extensions available at launch. These extensions are just the beginning, we have a lot more on the way in the future...

We use next-generation tap-typing technology and powerful gestures to deliver a faster, more accurate, more fun typing experience. Our speed, combined with our award winning design is part of why we're one of the most beloved keyboard extensions on Android devices (and now, iOS devices).

With Fleksy's colored themes and customizable keyboard sizes, we're bringing an unprecedented level of customization options to iOS. Plus, we've got all your favorite emoji, with over 800 to choose from! We even have a fun collection of badges you can earn as you type. Who said typing had to be boring?

Since the early days of Fleksy, we have received an amazing amount of support and helpful feedback from people all over the world. The innovative ideas, suggestions, and bug reports from Fleksy users have been instrumental in shaping our vision and delivering a stable, quality keyboard.

It was not a decision we made lightly, but it was necessary. Since pursuing the ambitious plan to create a keyboard SDK that all iOS apps can use, we realized that the technical challenges of this strategy were pretty huge. It is no wonder that other keyboard companies, some much larger than us, have not managed to succeed in this feat.

We've combined the most advance touchscreen keyboard with the funnest and most creative way to express yourself while typing. Choose from over 500 of the most popular emojis. There's a perfect emoji waiting for you!

Your phone's keyboard needs to do more than just input text. GIFs, emojis, Bitmojis, and other media are integral parts of messaging today. Integrating them into your keyboard makes it easy to send GIFs, as you don't have to open your browser and copy them.

Gboard is the default keyboard for Android, but not everyone is aware of everything it can do. Even if you use the Samsung keyboard for GIFs and texting on your Samsung phone, try out Gboard (or another alternative keyboard app, like SwiftKey, which also supports GIFs).

Tap the smiley icon next to the space bar to see a menu for emojis, Bitmojis, stickers, GIFs, and regular emoticons. The first magnifying glass icon is a universal search across all categories. While it supports everything, Gboard shines as the best GIF keyboard for Android texting.

Two GIF keyboard Android apps, Fleksy and Tenor, are faster than Gboard at searching for and rendering animated GIFs. Both search Giphy, one of the biggest GIF hosts on the internet. But both Fleksy and Tenor have a peculiar issue that you should know.

Like the other aforementioned GIF keyboards for texting on Android, Kika Keyboard has a large library of GIFs and emojis available within a few taps. You'll also find tags to quickly swipe through trending and popular GIFs. But its unique selling point is the automatic GIF suggestions it offers.

When you type a single word like "awesome" or "cool" or "K", Kika will often issue a popup GIF right above the keyboard. Tap to send it instead of the word you typed, or to send both. It's pretty cool---you'll probably find yourself using GIFs more this way.

Apart from this feature, Kika Keyboard is a decent GIF keyboard overall, but I found it a bit gaudy. It does all the basics well though, so try it out. You might just like it more than Gboard and others.

You can then put this head on any GIF or sticker; the GIFs are actually animated stickers. When you're using the keyboard, it's easy to browse through various GIFs or stickers, change the head on the fly, and then share it. Bobble is one of the coolest GIF keyboards for Android, and well worth a look.

Fleksy, a keyboard that relies on prediction and gestures to speed up the typing process, dropped its price tag today and is now free. If there was ever a time to give it a shot, now would be it. For those who already bought it, Fleksy says they are gifting $8 in free themes and extensions to thank you.

If you've got an Android phone, Gboard might already be installed on it. (I use a Google Pixel 5, and Gboard is my default keyboard.) On top of handy features like swipe-to-text, Gboard lets you search for emoji, keep track of your most-used emoji, add stickers -- even animated ones -- to your texts and use gifs and old-fashioned emoticons. Gboard is available to download free for Android and iOS.

SwiftKey learns your writing style, including your slang, nicknames and favorite emoji. This, along with its customization features, sets it apart from other keyboards. You can add free themes to your keyboards, as well as individual themes and theme packs in the SwiftKey Store.

To enable SwiftKey and make it your default keyboard on Android, go to Settings > Language & input > SwiftKey. To set it up on iOS, tap General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard. You'll see all the keyboards you have installed on your device. Choose SwiftKey to enable it. To make it your default, click Edit and drag it to the top of the list.

If you've used Snapchat, you've likely seen Bitmoji -- little cartoon avatars styled after the user. Bitmoji ties in with other apps besides Snapchat too. For example, Gboard is the default keyboard on my Pixel 5, but you can choose to Install Bitmoji from the toolbar. It adds another level of personalization since your Bitmoji is incorporated into almost every sticker.

The keyboard is free for iOS and Android. To set it up on Android, you can do so manually or through the Bitmoji app. After you download and sign up in the app, tap the Globe icon to open the Keyboard tab and follow the prompts to enable the keyboard. To manually set up the keyboard, install the app and go to Settings. From there tap Languages and input > Virtual (or On-screen keyboard) > Manage Keyboards > toggle on Bitmoji Keyboard.

To set up Bitmoji for iOS, you can do so manually or through the Bitmoji app. After you download and sign up in the app, tap the Globe icon near the bottom of your screen to open the Keyboard tab and follow the prompts to enable the keyboard. To manually set up the keyboard, install the app and go to Settings. Then tap General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard and toggle on Bitmoji Keyboard.
